Exploring time, space and the subconscious, Whyte’s imagined environments evoke a sense of mystery and introspection, using loose brushstrokes and expansive compositions. Through a non-linear narrative, his recurring motifs and staged figures lend a theatrical quality, as if his canvases were scenes from an unfolding play.
